What is UberMindfulness?
UberMindfulness is the name of I chose to give to an approach to life that centers on how we relate to ourselves and the world using a reflective self-awareness practice developed by philosopher and psychologist Eugene Gendlin. He was a close collaborator of Carl Rogers, the father of Humanistic Psychotherapy, now referred to as the Person-Centered Approach.
It has been proven to facilitate personal change in its practitioners, but it goes beyond mere mindfulness meditation. While meditation focussed on relaxation, UberMindfulness is based in one's whole inner experience in that moment, accessing inside with what Gendlin referred to as the "felt sense".
Read this short and wonderful article on the felt sense.Gendlin called his reflective practice "Focusing". This constitutes the core of what I refer to as UberMindfulness.

UberMindfulness is a contemplative practice that allows us to change.One might say that it connects us with our higher or authentic self.
It's a subtle practice that most likely you are already using in your life, at least to some extent, because it is a natural proclivity. |
